What stands out most about working at Oak Tree for Cody is the crew he works with every day, "The workers are some of the best lads you'll meet," he says. That sense of camaraderie is what keeps the job enjoyable day in and day out.

Music and good banter between the lads keep him energised and motivated on the job, and if he’s unloading mandarins, he knows he’s in for a smooth, efficient shift. "They make a nice easy stack pattern," he explains, which is why they’re his favourite container to unload.

His advice for anyone starting out in devanning is simple: "Be able to have some good banter with the lads, it makes the day go faster." According to him, a bit of humour and connection with your crew can transform your entire workday.
