A new motorway interchange connecting Rangiuru Business Park near Te Puke with State Highway 2 has been officially opened by Regional Development Minister Shane Jones. This $60m project, partially funded with $18m from the Provincial Growth Fund, creates a vital connection for manufacturing, agricultural and logistics industries to access the Port of Tauranga - just 25 minutes away.
"The motorway interchange will support the business park by providing access to major North Island and global markets," says Minister Jones.
The 148ha business park, the largest consented green field industrial zone in Bay of Plenty, is expected to create approximately 4000 jobs and significantly boost regional economic growth.
